We love Winchester. It has always been our home at Studio Republic. The old English Capital is full of charm, character and personality. It is a picturesque heritage City that attracts around 4 million visitors each year. We're often asked why we don’t have offices in London so we have decided to explain why.
So to begin with, our studio is set in a quaint courtyard in a converted victorian print works. The double doors open up and once through them it is a two minute walk to the High Street.
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to local independent award winning coffee shops which are hard to beat and much more our style than the likes of Starbucks (though we have one of those too!)
Then there is a huge selection of lunch options and a perfect variety of shops if you do need anything.
Winchester is far from a cheap place to have an office, but in comparison we would probably be in zone 75, sharing a desk in a shared room if we were in the big smoke!
Of course our clients benefit from this because our hourly rate is significantly less than the London agencies based on our overheads. That leads me onto highlighting the ease of London commuting. In under an hour we can be at Waterloo. Up and down every week, it is as quick and easy as travelling across one part of London to another.
In the summer in Winchester we go for lunch in the Cathedral grounds or walk along the river and up St. Catherine’s Hill; the views are stunning.
As keen cyclists, we all enjoy biking in the warmer months and have been known to do the odd ride on a Friday afternoon. In the winter months you can grab a hot chocolate and browse the Christmas markets.
From wine bars to Michelin Star restaurants, there is always something to keep you here on a Friday night, if it's been a big week.
It is friendly. Our neighbours are brilliant, in fact most of them are clients, so it means we get to work with like-minded folk.
Whether you need a complete brand overhaul, new website or simply help with making your campaign stand out Studio Republic can help. Feel free to swing by for a cuppa with Jack and a chat to see what all the fuss is about?
