Digital Project Manager (Remote)

Overview

We are looking for a proactive Digital Project Manager with great communication skills and an ability to set clear boundaries to keep projects on track.

**We actively encourage anyone to apply regardless of their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic. Because diversity of thought makes for better work and a more dynamic team.**

Must haves

You might be mid-level in a big agency and looking to flex your PM muscles in a smaller agency and own more of the process overall or wanting to play a hands-on role in the shaping of the PM process for example. The main focus of the role is to manage the website design and development projects and work alongside delivery and account management to do so in a small but highly productive Client Services team.

Your main responsibility will be to confidently guide clients and teams through complex website projects, from concept to completion, delivering on time, on budget and on spec. As such, you will need the traditional core skills:

  • Advise the client on the best solution for their needs
  • Take a lead on facilitating scoping of new projects
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure timelines and allocations are accurate
  • Creatively solve problems
  • Work closely with a small Client Services team to deliver project work collaboratively
  • Conduct quality control on the projects that you manage
  • Set and manage clear boundaries in projects
  • Manage project timelines and budgets

What you would bring to the team:

  • Desire to create work that has a positive impact on people and planet
  • A ‘people person’ who loves getting to know the team and clients
  • Confident decision maker who isn’t afraid to hear other people opinions
  • A strategic thinker who can see solutions to problems with clarity
  • Attention to detail – particularly in a project scoping capacity
  • Excellent collaborator that can adapt to client and team situations

Experience you have:

  • Experience in agency working environment – remote would be advantageous but not a deal breaker
  • Experience managing web design and development projects end to end, including management of people, time and budgets
  • Experience using the WordPress CMS
  • Team player – able to capitalise on fellow team members skills

Nice to haves

Non-essentials but would be great:

  • Experience in agency working environment
  • Pitching experience
  • Understanding of Waterfall working

Benefits

  • This is a permanent role
  • Competitive salary with pension, the range for this role is £30-£40k
  • Paid holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down. Holiday is allocated in hours to allow greater flexibility for booking time off around our 4 day week
  • Fully remote working
  • Access to Perkbox
  • Group Income protection insurance provided to all employees to cover 75% of an individual’s wage for up to 5 years of long term sickness
  • Employer pension scheme contributions
  • A Mac laptop, keyboard, mouse, stand and any additional equipment including chairs, trackpad, additional monitors etc
  • The opportunity to make a direct impact with your work

Job type

Permanent / Full time / Remote

The day to day breakdown of the role can be roughly divided into the following areas of focus.

  • 30% – Managing project teams and studio resource
  • 30% – Scoping, budget allocation and project defining
  • 20% – Project administration, tracking and process development
  • 20% – Additional client facing (pitches, presentations, troubleshooting etc…)

We really value the input of our team and recognise that you are a specialist at what you do and so it’s important that you feel comfortable and empowered to bring your voice and experience to the studio. Of course the team and senior leadership team will support you in every way they can but you will be the one who is responsible to deliver your projects within the budget and so we encourage reviewing processes and structures to enable everyone in the studio to bring their best skills to the table.

The recruitment process

We are looking for responses and CV’s to be sent to jack@studiorepublic.com in the first instance. We will then make an internal shortlist of no more than 3 candidates to take forward into a video interview with a member of the SLT and client services team present. From here we intend to make a swift decision and onboard the new team member.

We actively encourage anyone to apply regardless of their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic. Because diversity of thought makes for better work and a more dynamic team.
