Londoners voting in the Mayoral election next month (May) will be able to benefit from the new Green Party web site designed and built by the team at Studio Republic.
The London site is the first in a major web project for the political party which will see us re-launch more than 100 local and regional Green Party sites for voters across the UK over the course of the next three months.
Mark Cridge, Management Coordinator for the Green Party said, “Studio Republic have been a joy to work with. They understood our needs perfectly, got to grips with a potentially cumbersome project quickly and with the minimum of fuss and we are incredibly happy with the end result. The new site designs will set us up for further electoral success in the years to come.”
The Green Party web sites provide local and national news and information for voters as well as opportunities to actively engage with the political agenda. Visitors can, for example, download the latest campaign posters, join a mailing list or make a donation. There is also a special area for members of the Party.
The new look and feel Green Party London site is now live at london.greenparty.org.uk.
The websites are built on MODX, our content management system of choice and a large part of the project will be migrating the site to the latest version of the platform. We're working directly with the MODX core team to handle the migration which is a huge project in itself. Our partnership with MODX allows us to take on any size of development project, utilising their team of expert developers when we need to.
Update: Our work was featured on the Design Week home page and in this article.
