Wildlife and Countryside Link is a London based charity concerned with the protection of wildlife and the countryside in the UK and made up by the coalition of 47 voluntary organisations including the likes of the WWF, RSPCA, Greenpeace etc. The joint membership of these support over 8 million people in the UK.
The challenge was to evolve the look and feel of the website, as well as improve the technology and latest practices whilst appealing to various user audiences. One focus for WCL is to be the voice in parliament and empower its members, another is to be an information portal for the public, another is an archive library or repository for all previous campaigns and finally an information point for ministers too. So, the design and user journey had to be versatile to cater for these different audiences, focuses and messages.
Once the website was re-design and developed, the next focus was the digital marketing suite which required responsive HTML emailing to get the campaigning out to its members. This was well received and continues to be a great way for the charity to stay in touch and promote itself to its audiences.
"We would like to say a big thank you to creative digital agency, Studio Republic. We appreciate how they listened to what we wanted and really understood our brief, which they have translated into an exciting, visually appealing and accessible site. "Dr Elaine King, Director, Wildlife and Countryside Link
